SAVAGE MAX is a high-performance 3D aerobatic park flyer made of EPP foam and powered by a 350-500 W brushless electric motor. A few hours with a superglue in hand is all it takes to complete this model. You can then enjoy F3A standard category figures and 3D acrobatics! The model is also suitable for less experienced pilots. With smaller deflections, it can be flown by anyone who has at least some aerobatic experience and is able to fly loops, turns and rolls reliably. Thanks to the low weight of the model, there is not too much damage in the event of an accident – and EPP parts are so easy to repair!

The one-piece wing with large ailerons has a symmetrical profile. Carbon fiber spars ensure strength and of course there are ready-made servo shafts. The fuselage is profiled with a horizontal part that is thoroughly reinforced with carbon fiber strips. The vertical part with a large side surface ensures perfect knife-edge flight behavior. The fully finished construction includes a plywood motor mount attached to the fuselage with carbon fiber strips. The servo ducts for the elevator and rudder are housed in the fuselage. The tail surfaces are also made of EPP, the halves of the large floating elevator are mounted on a tubular carbon fiber spar that rotates in a 3D printed bearing in the fuselage.

The ailerons, rudder and elevator are controlled by short direct carbon fiber or steel rods. The main landing gear is made of carbon fiber with two lightweight wheels and EPP covers. It is mounted with four screws to a fiberglass support plate, which is attached to the fuselage with 3D printed plastic brackets. The tail with a 3D printed bracket and a lightweight foam wheel is connected to the rudder.

To control the model, you need at least a 4-channel RC set that allows you to set dual-rate and exponential deflections.
Conventional analog micro servos with metal gears such as KAVAN GO-13MG, Hitec HS-65MG etc. are suitable for undemanding recreational flying. For aerobatics, you should use powerful and fast digital servos with metal gears such as KAVAN GO-1013MG, Hitec HS-5065MG and similar.
For the drive we recommend the brushless electric motor KAVAN PRO 3536-1000, FOXY 3536-1000, Model Motors AXI 2814/16 V2 or similar with APC propeller 11×4.7SF when powered by a 3S LiPo battery or 10×4.7SF when using a 4S LiPo battery.
The speed controller should have a minimum load capacity of 40 A, especially if you are using powerful and fast digital servos, it should have a powerful BEC, e.g. KAVAN PRO-40SB or KAVAN R-50SB.
A 3- or 4-cell 1300-1800 mAh LiPo battery with a minimum load capacity of 40C is suitable for the power supply.
SAVAGE MAX was developed and is produced in the Czech Republic.
The kit includes: printed fuselage, wing, tailplane parts and landing gear covers made of EPP foam, a plywood engine mount, 3D printed plastic parts, carbon fiber reinforcements, levers, forks, linkages and other small parts accessories, carbon fiber landing gear with lightweight wheels, detailed building instructions with illustrations.

Technical data:

  • span: 1080mm
  • Length: 1200mm
  • Weight: 850g
  • Controllable functions: S,V,K(2),M
  • Construction effort: S2
  • Difficulty level: P2,P3
